How Romantic: A Mood and Style That's Easy On The Eyes!

Recently we are loving the romantic looks we have been seeing in the decor world.
Think soft fabrics, frills, appliques, lace and feminine charm.

Pastels of pinks, powder blues, pale yellows and the softest of greens accent these lovely looks.

This space blends white built-in cabinetry with a white desk.
Using antique touches to soften the hard lines such as twilled fabric, old shutters and galvanized pails.
The black and white checked floor adds a touch of 60's to this elegant space.

A romantic kitchen in baby blue with custom cabinetry and detailed woodwork.

A simple sitting area or "drop of" spot is made special with a few accent pillows, a fuzzy rug and an antique hook.
The custom archway gives this area curves and character.

A bedroom can be romantic with simple bedding in light colors and fluffy comforters and pillow shams. Don't forget to add the decorative pillows to give the bed more detail!  Even slip covers for an old chair is an easy transition for an older chair that doesn't quite fit the theme.  And we can't imagine a better place to get romantic then the bedroom!!

The romantic theme doesn't necessarily mean pinks and whites!
This green kitchen with custom cabinets and a built-in window seat is sweet
and inviting for an afternoon cup of tea!

This Romantic living room features antique wood furniture and a gorgeous custom
bay window with beautiful moldings and trim

We have recently been inspired with this traditional beauty in number of rooms.

These french doors are a perfect entrance to a room you want to give a french feminine feel to!
This is a recent project done by Woodmaster Woodworks!

We love the feel of this combo for a homeowner we recently worked on. A glass panel door
and an adjacent archway, perfect for that romantic feel!

Finally the key to the Romantic mood is lots of accents!  Glass pieces, chandeliers, bird cages, galvanized pots and wooden birdhouses are just a few items to get you started!

What have you done to get your house in the Romantic Mood??
